E-source patient file wins as a technology of the future
The results for April are as categorical as those of KCR Question of the Month - March (#KCR_QoM). Over 40 per cent of respondents expect e-source patient files to be the next area of disruption in clinical trials.
Certainly, a “shake-up” in this regard is expected due two fundamental reasons. First, the current set-up was structured around patient populations that remained more less immobile, whereas in the modern world populations are not fixed or stationary.
Second, in one of our previous posts we discussed the drive to put patient-centricity at the core of trials and electronic patient files certainly fit into the dynamic of greater comfort for patients.
As for the other options, we have also discussed in our previous posts how the clinical research industry innovates and incorporates such a culture in its DNA.
While great strides have been done, there is still a long way to go to reach the pace of adoption that other areas of the economy have managed.
Stay tuned for our next Question of the Month (#KCR_QoM) in May!
