Tomasz H. Zastawny is a clinical research professional and scientist with over 20 years of experience in international clinical research, science and corporate business management. Dr. Zastawny is currently a Managing Director at ECRC that is a Clinical Research consulting company based near Boston (USA).  He has also held positions as Clinical Operations Director at Infinity Pharmaceuticals and Clinical Projects Director at Pro-Pharmaceuticals. At PRA International, he was a Director of Operations and was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for PRA’s Central and Eastern Europe operations.  During his tenure at PRA, Dr. Zastawny contributed significantly to company growth in this region. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, book chapters and reviews on scientific symposia on international clinical research and mechanism of carcinogenesis, and cancer therapy.

 

Dr. Zastawny received his educational training at the interface of business and medical research. He holds a post graduation degree in Business Management from the Management and Banking School in Poznan as well as DSc (habilitation) in Biochemistry from the Polish Academy of Science, PhD in Medical Sciences, University of Medical Sciences in Bydgoszcz, and MSc from University of Lodz. Among his accomplishments is his post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (USA) and Leiden University Medical Center (The Netherlands).
